""I bought PURE Digital Flip Video Ultra Series F260 Camcorder because of price. I really didn't believe it would be easy to use and provide great quality. BUT IT WAS!! Within minutes of opening the box, I was recording and playing back. It did take me a while to figure out how to get it onto a DVD for playback on DVD players. I needed a different software program. But for putting on the computer or just viewing and watching on TV, it is great. As I am writing this, I still can't believe how easy it is. And we are still using the same batteries so they last a long time. We leave the camera on the table and when we go anywhere we take it with us. Just tuck it in a pocket and it is there for any special moments. If we want to save it, we put it on the computer. If we want to share it, we upload it to YouTube. If we want to just look at it, we plug it into the TV and then delete it. SO EASY!!! In fact, I am buying them for my whole family for Christmas this year."

""We just bought PURE Digital Flip Video Ultra Series F260 Camcorder for our 5 year old son. He loves it! Very easy to use. You just pop in the batteries (included), turn it on, push the red record button. Easy! This camcorder has very good video and audio during playback. It does not have a light for filming at night, but it does pretty good in low-light situations. You just connect it to you USB port on your computer and it downloads the software (one time) and you can watch and edit videos. You can even add music and burn to a DVD..we haven't done that yet. You get 60 minutes of recording...then you have to upload it to your computer. So, if you're on vacation, you'll need to bring your laptop to upload your videos. Other than that, this is a good quality, very simple camcorder! We are very pleased with ours!"

"I bought PURE Digital Flip Video Ultra Series F260 Camcorder as a Christmas present for my cousin. She is a dog breeder and wanted an inexpensive, uncomplicated way to make digital videos of her available puppies, that could easily be posted on YouTube and her own website. After her own research, she concluded that the Flip Video Ultra Series would fit her needs, and she subsequently put it on her Christmas list.

While spending Christmas with her and her family, I saw first-hand that this little camera does the job it’s advertised as being able to do: It makes decent-quality, digital videos that can then easily be uploaded to YouTube and other video-sharing sites, and, using the software included with the camera, can be shared privately via email with family, friends (and in my cousin’s case, interested clients for her puppies). This little camera plugs directly into your computer’s USB port.

With adequate lighting (either outdoors or indoors) the image quality is unexpectedly good and the motion of the video is smooth. There is no built-in lighting for the camera itself, so you really have no other option if the lighting is less than ideal. If the light level is very low, it does get hurky-jerky, as we found out while shooting some video during an outing of midnight bowling. It ends up looking more like a slide-show.

Using the included editing software, you can edit together several separate video sessions into one continuous movie, adding music and title cards, before you upload it to the internet. You have the option of using Flip’s included music clips or using your own. You can layer the music over the recorded sound of the video or have it replace the “background” sound completely. You can also capture individual frames to use as still shots.

Included with the camera are a carrying/storage pouch, a wrist lanyard and connecting cables so you can watch your videos on your television. There is a 2X digital zoom. The viewfinder/preview screen is fairly large for such a small camera.

Available accessories (sold separately) are a flexible table-top tripod and a soft pouch/carrying case.

On the downside, there is no detailed instruction manual included with the camera (but you can go to the company’s website for support and guidance). One word of advice: Go to the FlipVideo website for the latest software before you attempt to do anything with your videos, or you may think something’s not working the way it should. My cousin and I found this out right off the bat.

All in all, it’s a great little camcorder for the price.

"PURE Digital Flip Video Ultra Series F260 Camcorder is fantastic. I really love it alot! I have it on me at all times to catch memories in action, and it never fails me for that purpose! It's great for someone who wants to make a YouTube video but does not want to pay hundreds of dollars. I have owned this product for about 2 years now and it's slightly beat up but the overall quality has not changed at all. I would strongly recommend this for anyone to give a great gift to a tech person in your family (or who is a friend). You will not be dissatisfied. (And neither will the recipient!!)"

"PURE Digital Flip Video Ultra Series F260 Camcorder is a good camera overall. Its very small and i guarentee youll say, "wow" as soon as you open it up. It comes in very clean packageing, very similar to apple boxes. It comes with a strap, a little felt bag, and batteries. The picture is perfect for Youtube and Facebook. But more importantly, the sound quality is great. I record my band all the time and the guitar, bass, and drums all sound good. The software is supposedly built into the camera, but i have encounterd some problems with it. I have Windows Vista(Home Premium) and as I try to install it it "incounters and error" and i cant open it. Im gonna try it again because this happens often when I install games and other software. But buy it when the price is down because you could save alot. So buy this camera"
